The Church Logo
By divine inspiration, the logo of the Church was originally designed in 1985 by Rev. Prof. Paul H. Milller, a Missionary from Southern Baptist Convention, Luisville, Kenturky, United States of America to the Nigerian Baptist Theological Semimary, Ogbomoso.
Furthermore, the interpretation of its constituent symbols, as provided by the designer himself, is offered below:
The background consists of a three-leaf design, suggestive of three unbroken circles representing eternity, with both designs symbolizing the Trinity – one leaf or circle each representing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The overlapping of the leaves/circles reminds one that the Persons of the Trinity cannot be separated and are a unity.
The circle behind the cross symbolizes the whole world and reminds the church of the command of Christ in the Great Commission: “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel…” The Bible is God’s revelation of the message each Christian is to proclaim as he lives and witnesses in the world.
The cross, which is at the heart of the Gospel, reminds the Christian of the command of Christ to “take up thy cross and follow me.” Each one should realize that, through his whole life, he ought to bear the cross and in this way make perfect in his body the redemption of Christ, and therefore model that Christlikeness which will lead others to follow Christ.
Thus, the logo includes symbols reflecting the name of the Church itself and the meanings of its words. This focuses on the Persons of the Holy Trinity, the nature of the Gospel, and the responsibility of the Church.

The Gospel Shall Be Preached and Practiced (Mark 16:15)
We believe in one God, the Creator of man and all things, eternally existing in three Persons, in a threefold relationship of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that man was originally sinless before God – his Creator – but became a sinner and hopeless before him; that his sinful nature necessitates repentance and new birth and that eternal doom awaits the unrepentant and unregenerated soul.
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of Virgin Mary; that He lived a sinless life; died on the cross for the atonement of sins; resurrected on the third day; appeared to many people after His resurrection; ascended to heaven and is coming back to set up his millennial kingdom on earth.
We believe that true believers are freely justified and perfectly sanctified through the finished work of Christ.
We believe that the indwelling Spirit of Christ the Lord is received at new birth, enabling the true believers to live a Godly life; while endowment of power for service is received at baptism of the Holy Spirit with signs following.
We believe that the sacrament of Baptism by immersion is an external symbol of the internal miracle of salvation that is wrought in a believer’s life, and it is quite necessary for every believer after conversion in obedience to the word of Christ.
We believe that divine healing and deliverance is secured by prayer of faith through the finished work of Christ.
We believe that making of restitution is quite necessary after conversion, and whenever occasion warrants it. This is to make right with God, with our fellow brothers and sisters, neighbours and others.
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the body of Christ.
We believe that the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper/Holy Communion instituted by Christ on the eve of His atoning death is quite necessary for every true believer, in obedience to the command of Christ, in remembrance of His death, and anticipation of His return. The Holy Sacrament may be taken at regular interval, and shall be taken by a member that has been baptized. The exercise shall be coordinated by only the fully ordained Minister.
We believe in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as inspired of God, and that they are the authentic words of God and the final authority in faith and Christian living.
We believe that the New Testament Church government is, by composition, of ordained Ministers of God, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses and God-fearing members of the Church selected and appointed.
We believe that once in grace is NOT always in grace, and there is the possibility of falling from grace.
We believe that giving of tithes and offerings to the Lord, as was practiced under the Law of Moses, should continue in this dispensation of grace, and it is required of all true believers, saved by grace, to give more than one-tenth of what they have.
We believe that our sufficiency is in God through Jesus Christ and that He will always supply our spiritual, material and financial needs.
